Supervision: Prof. Céline Condorelli
AM Philipp Schell
In January 2023 as part of the seminar “Stories of Display” led by prof. Céline Condorelli and Philipp Schell we spent one week in London, with a close study of a historical museum and its display, including the parts normally not accessible to the public such as storage or restoration, and with it the often hidden infrastructure of production and the institution itself are rendered visible – this was for the National Gallery in London, something made possible by Céline Condorelli being the 2023 artist in residence. The National Gallery was be looked at as a museum invested with representing a nation (a National museum), and put in contrast with smaller, more independent realities such as the Sir John Soane's museum.
