‘Studio Kralle’ was a spatial installation in the form of a fictitious film set.
The installation showed research and own artistic works that were created during the seminar.
‘Studio Kralle’ was an attempt to recreate elements of a nail salon by deconstructing the classic stage space with the help of theatre walls.
In our research on nail salons in Karlsruhe and internationally, we have looked not only at design issues but also at questions of service relationships and structural dependencies in the low-wage sector.
During the rundgang, ‘Studio Kralle’ was activated performatively, cinematically and photographically and invited its visitors to reflect on the relationship between service and community location or between stage space and film set.
