We plucked the seeds and ate them — Autobiographie, Performance, Raum

Supervision: AM Ebba Fransén Waldhör, AM Charlotte Eiffler, AM Philipp Schulte

Project of Elisabeth Potemkin and Jule Köpke

Hidden behind many men's names, we find the names of those who did the irreplaceable work that was suppressed, forgotten or hidden. Based on the myth of The Rape of Persephone, we try to reconstruct a story in our video work, stories - of musicians, authors or artists - that are part of our autobiographical history. Essential for us, but still not recorded in the archive and considered important enough, they form the basis for our work. But the writing of history is changing and Persephone, who has always been decided upon, who was abducted by Hades and forced to dwell in the underworld - takes the pomegranate seeds and rewrites her story.
